Hainan creates an integrated low-carbon service area with "solar energy storage and charging" to promote the integration of transportation and new energy

On May 16, Hainan’s early integrated low-carbon “solar energy, storage and charging” service area model site was released in Sanya, providing a new solution to promote the high-quality development of “transportation + new energy” and assist in the construction of Hainan’s clean energy island.

It is understood that the "photovoltaic storage and charging" integrated low-carbon service area is located in Baoting Li and Miao Autonomous County, Hainan Province. It uses local light resources, Huawei's intelligent photovoltaic storage solution and all-liquid cooling super charging technology to achieve photovoltaic grid connection and complete the "photovoltaic storage and charging" integrated construction. At present, the service area has basically achieved zero-carbon operation, not only allowing new energy vehicles to use new energy electricity, but also achieving energy conservation, carbon reduction and income increase.

"After the Baoting 'solar energy, storage and charging' integrated low-carbon service area is put into operation, it will save 585.39 tons of standard coal each year and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1,543 tons per year on average." He Yanan, general manager of Hainan Jiaokong Energy Co., Ltd., the construction and operation party of the service area, said that the Baoting "solar energy, storage and charging" integrated low-carbon service area project is a replicable case. The company will also complete the overall standardized transformation of the service areas under its jurisdiction in batches and improve the charging infrastructure construction in the parking areas of the stations along the Hainan Ring Island Tourism Highway.

As a national ecological civilization pilot area, Hainan is comprehensively promoting the construction of a clean energy island, and transportation is an important part of carbon emission reduction. Zhang Shouku, a second-level researcher at the Planning and Development Department of the Hainan Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, said that Hainan's state-owned enterprises should strengthen the research and development of key technologies in the future, promote the transformation and application of scientific and technological innovation results, strengthen cooperation between new energy and transportation, tourism, commerce and other industries, and promote the extension of the new energy industry chain.
