On April 7, the Office of the Leading Group for the River Chief System in Lueyang County, Shaanxi Province, issued a notice on deepening the normalization and standardization of the "four chaos" in rivers, reservoirs and ditches. The notice clearly stated that new situations and new problems, such as illegal construction of photovoltaic power stations and wind farms within the management scope of rivers and lakes, development and construction of houses in the name of wind and rain corridors, illegal occupation of rivers and lakes in the name of ecological management, green corridors, wetland restoration and various parks, illegal occupation of river channels for river-related construction projects, and illegal sand mining in the name of dredging and silting, should be cleaned up and rectified in accordance with laws and regulations.

3. The upper support of CGN Zhaoyuan 400MW offshore photovoltaic project has been installed
On April 6, the large-span upper grid structure of CGN Yantai Zhaoyuan 400MW offshore photovoltaic project (HG30) was hoisted. This hoisting is one of the key nodes in the progress of the project and will lay a solid foundation for the subsequent construction of the Zhaoyuan project. The size of this photovoltaic upper structure is about 40m*70m, which is the world's largest offshore photovoltaic support.
4. Total investment of 3.5 billion! Laizhou Guosheng 5GW heterojunction solar cell project started
Recently, Laizhou Guosheng High-efficiency Heterojunction Photovoltaic Cell Project has completed the preliminary work such as project approval, site selection, land delisting, existing building inspection, geological survey and industrial design. It is planned to enter the large-scale construction stage in April this year and complete the first phase by the end of the year. The project plans to invest a total of 3.5 billion yuan to build a 5GW battery plant, warehouse, integrated power station, pure water station and related electromechanical and factory ancillary facilities.
5. Ainengju announced the suspension of production of polysilicon cell production!
On April 3, Ainengju announced that as of the disclosure date, the company had not achieved ideal results in obtaining orders and decided to suspend production of its polysilicon cell production line. Previously, Ainengju announced on February 2 that due to the impact of technological iteration and market demand, in order to reduce losses and overall operating performance, the company's management discussed and decided to temporarily suspend the company's polysilicon cell production line until March 31, 2024.
6. Raising 1.7 billion! Tongrun Equipment increases investment in solar energy storage project
On April 3, Tongrun Equipment announced that it would issue A shares to specific targets, with the total amount of funds raised not exceeding 1.7 billion yuan. After deducting the issuance costs, 1.35 billion yuan will be used for the 18GW photovoltaic and energy storage inverter expansion project and the 5GWh energy storage system project; 350 million yuan will be used to supplement working capital and repay bank loans.

8. Blaming overcapacity, the United States "does not rule out" setting up trade barriers for photovoltaic products
U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet L.Yellen said the United States "does not rule out" the possibility of taking protective trade measures in response to China's overcapacity in solar photovoltaic and energy storage manufacturing. Yellen did not specify what further regulations or tariffs might look like. The United States has imposed anti-dumping and countervailing duties (AD/CVD) on a number of Chinese industries, including solar.
9. Meyer Burger raises $228 million to expand heterojunction plant
Swiss solar manufacturer Meyer Burger raised 206.75 million Swiss francs (about $228 million) after the closing of its rights issue, which will be used to fund Meyer Burger's expansion in the United States. Burger is building a 2GW module plant in Arizona and a 2GW cell plant in Colorado Springs. Both plants will produce heterojunction technology products.
